In 3 weeks I have lost 11 pounds! I am SO happy! I haven't weighed below 120 pounds since I got married! At 12 weeks pregnant, I weighed 128 pounds. My "newlywed" weight was 125ish. It feels so good to put on clothes that I used to fit and now they are a bit baggy! I just wish I could SEE the change. Everyone else does but I guess Im just hard on myself and when I look down I just see thunder thighs. Boo. I weighed in yesterday at 118.7 lbs so only 8.7 more pounds to lose. Maybe then I will see a difference.

Feeling Blue

I've been feeling a bit down for some reason. Ok, lets be honest, its been awhile that Ive been feeling down. Ok, lets be more honest, I've been feeling down since Paxton was born. Some days, I'm just a bum all day and other days, it doesn't even phase me. I went from working full-time and always being out of the house to staying in the house ALL DAY for 7 days a week while taking care of my 1st child. It was a hard adjustment. No one ever really talks about life after the baby comes and if or when they do they say, "ohhh life is SO wonderful. I have SO much energy that I just don't know what to do with it all. I love my life. blah blah blah" For some people, that may be true but for the other 99% of women, its HARD. Learning how to take care of another life, learning how to breastfed, learning how to adjust to staying home rather then going out, and learning how to deal with all these things when you are very sleep deprived. Its hard. And since everyone knows that I don't sugar coat anything, allow me to share my struggle with you.

Last March, I went to my family doctor in California and with 6 questions, she told me I had depression. What were those 6 questions you ask?

Did you have a traumatic delivery? Yes, i had a traumatic delivery but it could've been a lot worse
Do you eat 3 meals a day? No, I usually just snack
Do you sleep fine? No, I have to take Ibuprofen PM every night because i get bad headaches and it takes me forever to fall asleep
Do you love your baby? OF COURSE I LOVE MY BABY. This has nothing to do with my baby
Do you have energy? No, not really. Im usually tired from taking care of my baby.
Do you have a sex drive? No, definitely NO sex drive. Could it be the IUD?

As I finish answering the first 3 questions, she immediately started writing on her prescription pad. Her reply: You have depression. Here is a prescription. It'll be very, very rough to get through the first 6 weeks you start taking it so i want to see you back in in 6 weeks. I told her that I live in Utah and that I won't be able to be back here in 6 weeks for a follow up. So she scheduled a phone call appointment where she would call me and check up on me. She then turned to my mom and asked if she could go to Utah and be my support as well as with Marc. Must be some kind of drugs, if A) she is making a phone call appointment and NOT getting paid and B) if she's trying to talk my mom into staying with me for 6 weeks. As we left the appointment, i immediately didn't feel right about taking anti-depressants. I guess i just didn't want to be the "new mom" all "drugged up" because her life is "so miserable". That was not the case. I was sealed to the man of my dreams in the temple. I have a beautiful new baby boy. I am lucky to be a stay at home mom and wife. So why did I just feel so alone and empty?

After numerous prayers and talking with the husband, I decided not to take it. It just didn't feel right. And to be honest, I felt like those questions were too broad. Everyone whether they have a baby or not, may answer yes and no to some of those questions. Not everyone eats 3 meals a day. Not everyone has energy every single day. Not everyone can fall asleep immediately when their head hits the pillow and not everyone can stay asleep at night with no interruptions. I thought to myself, SELF: Your fine. And I am. I know that I am because I know that Im not alone in this. Heavenly Father has helped me SO much during this time. I know that Heavenly Father wouldn't send down one of his precious children to me and be out of our lives completely. I know that Heavenly Father listened to all my 27523723445238 prayers every other minute when I was struggling and needed help or needed comfort. It was a huge testimony builder to finally realize that for myself. I am so grateful for the opportunity Heavenly Father gave me to become a mother and to raise one of his precious children in the gospel. I am so grateful that we were sealed together as a family in His Holy House and I am so grateful for the challenging times I faced when Paxton was a newborn because it truly drew me closer to Him.

Nowadays, instead of letting me feel sorry for myself and instead of feeling so alone and empty, I immediately dismiss those ideas and I get up and do something. My house has never been so spotless and organized and my child has never been more nurtured and loved on. It is an awesome accomplishment and I am so proud to say that Ive come out on top of this trial with a better understanding of it. It also helps me to remember the importance of raising our children in the gospel. I can honestly say that without the gospel in my life, I know I would not have been able to overcome this not medicated. AND who knows what kind of mother I would be. Who knows, where I would be and what I would be doing. It scares me to even think of why life would be like had I not come back to the church.

I want any mother to know that it is OK to have these feelings. Its natural. Just always remember that you are NOT alone. When my mom had to go back to California after being with me for 3 weeks, I was devastated. But instead of relying on her, I had to rely on the Lord. I am so happy that I did.

Paxton Is 20 Months!

My ~~baby,~~ Ok, my toddler, well he just turned 20 MONTHS old. That means in 4 months, he will be TWO!! Goodness, where did the time go? He is so funny nowadays and seriously such a joy to be around!
He will come and sit on us and say "hey baby"
He says his name, Paston. We're working on the "x"

He still has 12 teeth. Just waiting on his 4, 1st molar teeth and his 4 canines

He will repeat any word you ask him to say

He loves his coloring book and crayons

He finally has the strength to open our kitchen cabinets

He is in 18-24 size jeans

He can still wear shirts from 12 months on

He is in a size 4 diaper because he pees so much. They are still too big for him though

He wears a size 6-6.5 in shoes

He is in desperate need of a hair cut but we don't know whether to have a shag look or if we should cut it and fohawk. Any suggestions??

He loves nursery and playing with others

Every morning when he wakes up, he will play in his crib. When he's tired of playing in it and wants out he will yell, "moooom. mom. mooooom. mom. Up pwease. moooom." COMICAL

He climbed out of his crib so we turned it around so now he can't get out of it. We did buy a toddler bed before we thought about turning it around so we have that on hand for when he decides to try getting out again

He loves to laugh

He knows his eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hands, feet (finally, he used to call them piggies) belly button, bum, head, arms and legs

He will pinch his nose and talk. He discovered how funny he sounds and now will pinch our nose and make us talk

He loves Ring Around The Rosy and will fall every time

He plays Patty Cake and does the motions

He still sleeps really good. 9:30-10ish AM and naps 4 hours a day

He has a new nightlight that projects stars on the ceiling, thanks to Uncle Brian and has to have his "stars" on during nap time and for bed

He will only eat Velveeta Mac N'Cheese. I tried giving him regular mac n'cheese and he WOULD NOT eat it

He is a real good eater. Still drinks his almond milk and has greek yogurt every morning for breakfast along with eggs or french toast

He still gives good kisses and blows them to people EVERYWHERE we go

His new favorite thing is "knuckles" He will put his fist up and say "Nunkles" Its so cute!

Im super excited to announce that i am FINALLY going to watch the Star Wars movies

We had some friends over, the Oyos family and the King family, for ice cream and games yesterday and somewhere during the night, it was mentioned that Jody had never watched Star Wars! I quickly chimed in that i have never seen them either! We all decided to start having a Star Wars night for FHE on Monday nights. Tonight we had our 1st movie night! It was SO much fun! We hosted it our house and had some treats and will rotate between us 3 couples! Im SO excited for the second one! We are watching them from the beginning. YAY for Star Wars!

My 1st Ward Activity as Chair!

I was called, because i bribed the bishopric, to be the Activities Chair in our Student/Married ward! So for our 1st activity, i wanted to get to know the couples. I put together a Newlywed game that worked with more then just the typical 4 couples. I was so nervous about it but it turned out SO great. Marc and I put table numbers on the table, had seating assignments so every couple was across from each other, and had mediators at each table to keep track of scores and to make sure there was no cheating! Yes, i said it CHEATING! We played a Newlywed game in our previous ward (not organized at all) and it was awful and full of cheaters! So this made it impossible to cheat! YAY! I also had a huge dessert bar and i got 2, 3 gallon tubs of ice cream from the BYU Creamery. It was awesome and we have SO much ice cream leftover. Thanks to everyone who came and to my activities crew!

Today, Paxton enjoyed his 1st ice cream cone. Marc likes vanilla and hates chocolate and I like chocolate and hate vanilla so when we had to choose which kind to get Paxton, we both said our each favorite to each other and were confused for a minute.

WHICH FLAVOR SHOULD WE GET HIM????!

Then the sweet, eavesdropping cashier guy said, "We have swirl" PERFECT! Give him both!

11 Highlights of 2011

1. Paxton turned ONE

2. Marc earned 5 new flight licenses and is now a flight instructor at Provo Airport

3. We went on many vacations together and a couple separate unfortunately

4. Heather worked from home for an advertising company for 8 months

5. My best friend, Cortney (Searle) Moser got married in November and I was a bridesmaid for the first time!!

6. We celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary

7. My grandma Alice, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a mastectomy and underwent chemo.

8. Marc was introduced to "ripping" dvds (legally) and now has over 300 movies digitalized

9. We were called to high positions in our ward at church. Marc is a clerk. Heather is Activities Chair(wo)man. And our bishop treated us to Ruths Chris in Park City for FREE! (He owns it)

10. Pax learned to walk, talk, blow kisses, hug, run, pick his nose, open doors, etc. (More details in other posts)

11. We had TONS of visitors stay at our house! Family and friends and we loved it

Thank you 2011 for being a great year! We had a ton of fun and can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!!

Ruths Chris Steakhouse

Our bishop owns The Park City Hotel and inside is a restaurant called Ruths Chris. Since Marc is in the bishopric, our bishop treats them and their wives to dinner at Ruths Chris for Christmas. It was both of our 1st time going and we were pretty excited! We got a babysitter for Pax and drove to Park City. We had a group of like 26. It was great to spend time with all our friends from church AND to enjoy an AMAZING dinner. Oh my goodness. It was my first time ever having lobster, hollandaise sauce, sweet potato casserole and cheesecake. (DO NOT LIKE VANILLA CHEESECAKE) but other then that, it was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this place! Afterwards, we hugh out with the Wilson's and the Phillip's while Rachel breastfed and well, the boys thought they were ballers haha!

Ugly Sweater Xmas Party

The Sistrunk's hosted an Ugly Sweater Xmas Party yesterday! We had great food, took great photos and had great company with friends! We made our Ugly Sweaters. My best friend did it!! She got married! Wooo hooo! It was such a beautiful day. Getting ready together was amazing, the sealing was amazing, the luncheon was amazing, the reception was amazing and the pictures ARE amazing! 11.11.11 was an amazing day. Here's the proof!

Spencer's Homecoming

Marc's brother Spencer returned from his mission to Nicaragua on November 9th! We all piled into a hummer limo (5 kids in carseats), drove to LAX and met Spencer with signs, hugs & tears! Terrie and Wayne went to Nicaragua the week before to pick Spenc up and bring him home so they were at the airport too. It was a great reunion! That following Sunday, Spencer spoke in sacrament and gave an amazing talk. Im SO glad he is home. Rumor has it that he will live at our house in January for the semester while he goes to BYU! Im so excited! He's my favorite! Shhhhhh!

This Halloween was a lot of fun! Pax was able to go trick-or-treating for the 1st time and we actually went "all out" for it. My mom bought Pax a lion costume and i knew right away that the theme would be Wizard of Oz. We made Marc's scarecrow outfit and my Dorothy costume is a little girls costume we FINALLY found at a store. Of course, trying to get costumes the day before our Halloween parties wasn't very smart! We also made my ruby red slippers! I left a trail of glitter everywhere i went!

While i was in California for Cortney's bridal shower, I made plans to hang out with my bestie Jen Parton AKA Gangsta. We decided to take the kids to the pumpkin patch. Families Can Be Together Forever!!

Ive been meaning to write this down for quite some time but I have just been SO crazy busy that I haven't gotten around to it. Today, i finally have a minute to breathe (aka go on my blog)!! So here it is... We had stake conference a few months ago. As we were sitting there, i just couldn't focus. Pax was squirmy, I was tired, hungry and the talks just seemed to drag on and on and on... Ever had one of those Sundays??! So ya... finally, after the last speaker spoke, i sat there, HAPPY it was over. Then i thought to myself...."Self, you should never be happy that church is ending especially when you haven't felt the spirit from that meeting... you need to go home and read your scriptures PRONTO and say a prayer." Well, instead of waiting till i got home, i quickly said a little prayer asking for some PEACE... i know selfish right.. I just sat through a stake conference, totally tuned the speakers out and here i am asking for peace and some spiritual uplifting. Rude. Well, i did anyways... Then they announced the closing song and i was so excited that i knew it because then i didn't have to open the book to that page. (lazy butt or what?) As i started to sing the first few words, i immediately got so overwhelmed and i just lost it. I sat there, crying while listening to how truly beautiful that song is. I thought of my sweet husband and my adorable baby boy and the fact that i get to be with them throughout all eternity. They are mine, i am theres and there is nothing more exciting and peaceful to me then having them with me in the presence of our Heavenly Father and Savior. It makes me SO happy. That was the best stake conference i have been too :) It truly made me appreciate the Plan of Salvation so much more and i am truly grateful to have the gospel in my life.

Pax is 15 Months

Today we had Paxton's 15 month check-up. Here are his stats:

Weight- 22 lbs 1 oz- 35%

Height- 32 inches- 80%

Head- 46.2 cm- 35%

Pax is now up to date on his shots. We discussed his hernia and if he was going to need surgery and the doctor said, "For now, its closed up a lot. We will continue to watch it but at this point, Im going to say he won't need surgery." That was music to my ears! YAY!

Paxton is eating more and more these days. He is officially only drinking from a sippy cup both straw and spout top. He only likes the soft ones. He has 3 teeth on the top and 2 teeth on the bottom. But there is a 3rd tooth barely poking through. He is in size 3 diapers because when he pees, he peeeees. Size 2's couldn't hold it anymore. The 3's are big on him but oh well. They hold it in! He is in 12-18 month jeans. They are big around his waste but they manage to stay up. He is very active. Loves walking and is learning how to walk at a faster pace (running) He loves books and will bring one to me to read to him. He blows kisses....Baaaaah. And he says bye and nigh nigh. He says Biyey for Miley. It is SO cute! He is so much fun!

That's right, my baby girl, ok my sister's baby girl, turned THREE this year! I can't believe it! To celebrate, on the 14th, my sister planned this fun party at this jumping pace in Colorado. It was a Tangled theme! It was so much fun and we all had a blast!

Colorado Trip August 2011

Pax and I went to Colorado August 10-23. I always go for Miley's birthday which is on the 15th. This year she will be THREE! I can't even believe it! Anywho, Pax and i flew out of PROVO to Denver and it was SO nice. We should up to the airport 20 minutes before my flight left and it was perfect! Definitely like that route more then driving 45 minutes to Salt Lake City! We did so much while i was there! We played at our pool, went to my favorite sushi place, Hapa, went to BJ's for my pizookie, shopped A LOT, went to a Rockies game, took tons of pictures and relaxed. I did have to work Mon-Friday while i was there but it went well. It was a much needed trip because a week before i got there, my grandma had a Mastectomy because she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was able to take her to her doctors visits and just be there for her. It was hard for me to see the scar and all that entailed from the surgery. It breaks my heart that she has to go through this but i know she is strong and i know she will fight through this. We are just waiting to hear if she has to do Chemo :( Fingers crossed that she won't have too. I love Colorado and i love my family there. Its always SO hard leaving.

Lake Mead 2011

This past weekend my family and i went to Lake Mead with my second family, The Searle's. It was such a fun little getaway for us and we had a blast. They rented a condo for a month in Lake Las Vegas and it was GORGEOUS! Im so glad they invited us to come! So Thursday we left for Vegas! We spent all day on the water Friday and Saturday and then Sunday, we went up to the clubhouse and relaxed by the pools. I learned how to wake surf and i also perfected my wake boarding skills ;) haha. No really, I'm obsessed with it! We had a blast. Saturday night, we went to Sunset Station and ate at their buffet. i HATE buffets but i guess this one is highly recommended, so i sucked it up and went and it was DELICIOUS! Its the first buffet that hasn't made me sick afterwards!! We headed back home Sunday to Utah and the lame, gloomy summer that it has given us this year.

He isn't up to date on his shots because he is 4 days shy of being 12 months exactly. So we will play catch up on his 15 month appointment. I got a prescription to get a lead poisoning test done for Paxton so we will do that this weekend. Other then that, the visit went great. My grandma was able to come with us! He has 2 bottom teeth and no signs of any others ANY time soon. We are transitioning him to a sippy cup so he only gets his bottle at night before bed. And he is also transitioning to Almond Milk! He seems to love it so far! I am still giving him the fluoride drops. His feet are a 5-5 1/2... yes, Bigfoot. His waste is still tiny so he wears 6-12 jeans. A lot of them are high waters on him. But oh well. And his shirts are 6-9 months and a few 12 month shirts. He is still a bit scared to walk on his own but he will definitely do it while holding your hand. He says ball, baooon, momom, and a whole bunch of chinese words haha. He is so fun and is getting so big!

Can you believe i have a TEN monther!! Oh my goodness has time flown by! Since he doesnt have a drs appt till his 1 year, im not sure what his stats are. BOO. But here is my big boy!

He finally got his two teeth on the bottom

He walks a TON not on his own quite yet

He is still a champ at sleeping, eating & playing

He cracks up a lot more and a lot harder

His diapers stick SO bad because of all the food he eats now

He has officially sucked out of a straw & isnt the cleanest doing so

First off, let me tell you how SURREAL it feels to celebrate our TWO year anniversary. The time has gone by SO fast. Im not sure it its because we have a baby in the picture or because Marc makes it SO easy to be married to him. In the same time, it feels like weve been married WAY longer then that because of how close we are & how much weve been through. I just LOVE married life and couldnt imagine it being with anyone else but Marc. I know, mushy gushy right?! Well what do you expect when the title is "TWO Year Anniversary"?!

Our first year of marriage we dealt with me being pregnant and the second year, weve dealt with having and raising a child. I wouldnt trade these two years for anything! Thanks for being my rock babe & for being such a great father to our son. We both love you so much and are so grateful to know thta because of the gospel, we'll be sealed together forever...and ever... and ever!!!

To celebrate, we decided not to do anything for each other but to find a babysitter and to go to dinner. Ya that didnt work. Marc got me these gorgeous roses. 2 white for it being our 2 year anniversary! I hope he'll keep that up. He also made me breakfast in bed. It was so cute. Since our anniversary was on a Sunday, Monday we had a total date day! We had lunch at Happy Sumo, then he took me shopping. I got silver glitter Toms & a VS outfit.. NOT lingerie haha. The pink outfits! Then we went and saw Harry Potter 7 Part 1. (i stayed up the night before till 330 am cause i HAD to finish the book. i LOVE HARRY POTTER now after reading the books!) Then we picked up Pax from our Aunt Dorene's house, got some redboxes & snuggled all night. SO fun! I love my hubs! So now im in debt to the hubs. Boo haha.

Marc's brother, Devin, got married in California, so naturally we drove down for it. We left at 530am Friday morning and left in the afternoon on Tuesday to come home because i had a dr appt on Monday. The wedding was nice. CONGRATULATIONS. And it was nice to spend time with family and friends.

Arent these so cute?! Well here's how ya do it!

Cut out circles. ANY size. Ive used bowls, cups & plates to make all sorts of sizes!

Tie a knot on the backside of the fabric.

It should look like this before you gather it

Pull the string with the needle & even it throughout the fabric

Here is what it should look like all gathered together. In this part, after i gather it and flatten it out, i do an "X" pattern in the middle. I go through it and back out of it to make sure it wont come undone. Then i tie it off on the backside of the flower.

Add something in the middle. For me i did bling! AND your done!

Beware, these become extremely addicting!!

Today we went to Paxton's doctors for his 9 month checkup. Ive been dreading this appointment (and every appointment) because of shots. He does great with them but its me who doesnt. haha. Anyways, he doesnt have to get shots till his 1 year checkup! YAHOO! So today was easy peasy. He has minor eczema & his iron test & numbers were perfect. His doctor told us that Paxton needs a new car seat. The analogy he used was "its like a 6'5'' man fitting into a mini cooper" haha. Love that doc. So we are no on a hunt for a 3 in 1 carseat. I LOVE his pediatrician & the fact that his appointments last maybe 20 minutes. We are always in & out. Here are his stats.

He weighs 19 lbs 4 oz-40%

He is 29 3/4 in tall- 95%

His OFC is 43.8 cm- 20%

Paxton LOVES the bath still & sits up in it all by himself

He loves the mirror even more now

He picks things up with his thumb & pointer finger

He seems to more dominant in his left hand

Colorado!

Pax and I road tripped back to Colorado with my sister & niece! Pax is such a good traveler as it is but throw in Miley & it was our source of entertainment for the 7 hour drive! Kids are SO stinkin funny!! It was nice to spend 9 days there and to visit everyone!

My old friend growing up took his own life. It breaks my heart to think of him being alone & so down in his final breaths of life especially because of how much life & energy he had.

He was the life of the party & always wore a smile on his face. I dated one of his best friends & we became like brother & sister. We had our typical fights & makeups & i admired the advice he gave me, even though i didnt always like it. I had the privilege of living with the Hrabal family with my best friend, who was his sister. I came to love & appreciate this family more then words can even describe in the short 6 months i lived there. Im so taken aback by this tragedy & my heart goes out to the family.

My deepest condolences go out to the family. Especially his daughter Aubree who is only 4. Im glad he gets to leave his legacy on earth in some way.

Im sorry we never had our makeup after our fight. It breaks my heart. I learned a huge lesson through all of this. Make right with anyone who has done wrong to you or you to them. You never know if or when youll leave this earth. I was terrified at the thought of going to his funeral because of some old history. Im glad i put it all behind me & that i was able to attend his funeral & his 5k walk. Now that history is behind me & i feel even better then before when i "thought" it was all behind me! Its sad it had to take a death to bring people back together.

We had his 7 month checkup today. Here are his stats:

He is 28 1/2 in tall- 90%

At this appointment, his doctor prescribed him flouride drops since Utah County has no flouride in the water system. He was also given his shots & his booster shot for the flu. He handled them like a CHAMP!

New Years 2011

A family tradition in my family is spending it New Years at Dumont Dunes. So thats what we did this year. It was just our family there. And it was fun, FREEZING but fun. Pax was had a runny nose so we didnt want to take him on a ride. Not to mention, the dunes were trashed cause of all the riders as well. We sat by the campfire, made homemade ice cream, ate delicious meals, watched movies, froze our butts off, & welcomed in the new year with some hot cocoa!! Hope everyone had a great New Years!

Yesterday we went to Balboa Park in San Diego with Marc's older brother Devin so that he could propose. It was gorgeous in that area and you could spend like 2 days there to see everything. i had my camera and took pictures of the whole thing! Christmas morning was spent at my in-laws since my family was in Colorado. We woke up, opened presents, lounged around, and waited for Spencer's phone call. Marc got a Garmin gps, & tools, i got a sewing machine and the Harrison family ccokbook, Paxton got toys & some clothes! All of the siblings & grandma & grandpa came over to talk to him. It was a wonderful TWO hours. Boy do i miss him! Then we went down to have lunch with my aunts, uncles & grandma Betty. After, we went to my best friend Chelsey's parents house to visit & had dinner with them. Later, we made our way back up to the Harrison's, snacked, and ate dessert. My MIL helped me thread my sewing machine & gave me some pointers! I cant wait to use it!! Christmas was a blast. Hope everyone else had a good one also!

We got Sammi a few dvds, and my mom 2 dvds, almond roca (Costco size), redvines, & some downeast shirts. Later my mom and i talked till 3am. Love that woman. Then we all got up and headed our different ways. Us towards California, them towards Colorado.

So tonight, we all (Marc & i) decided to watch a movie. Marc had Paxton & he was kinda fussy. The next thing i know, Paxton is completely quiet. SCORE! So a little while later Marc says, "Man, my arms are starting to hurt..." i look over and there is Pax, up in the air hahaha. SO funny. As soon as Marc put him down, he fussed. So we skipped the rest of the movie & played with Paxton. We were walking with him & he would take baby steps with us! Kodak moment duh!! Love my boys!

If you readers out there, read my blog often, youll know that we are on the Activities Committee & LOVE it. We decorated & planned for the Christmas party we'd have. People brought chilli & desserts. It was wonderful food! Then of course, SANTA came to play! My duties were to take pictures of the kids with Santa. I think one of the best purchases wwe made for Pax was getting this Baby Einstein Jumper. He has been in it since he was 3 months old. Of course we tucked a pillow in the seat with him so he would be somewhat strapped down! He loves it. And it gives us a good 45 minutes or so to sleep, clean, eat, relax... ya know.. the "normal" things that you cant do much once the baby comes! Thank you baby einstein products & creators. Black Friday Deals

To celebrate Paxton's 6 month birthday, we went to University Mall & visited with Santa. Paxton just smiled away at him! It was so cute!

He weighs about 16 lbs 4oz

He is less then half of inch away to wearing a size 4 shoe! (He cannot fit in size 3's)

He is in 6-9 month clothing but almost out of them cause of his height

He laughs like crazy & now cracks up

He has had rice cereal, peas, squash & applesauce

He sits up with some minor support unless there is a toy infront of him

He rolls over BOTH ways now & favors back to belly now

He plays with toys & now transfers them back & forth to both hands

He knows his name... or pretends he does

He's only had 2 blowouts, thank you Pampers

He got his first diaper rash in november, thank you buttpaste

He LOVES touching faces.

Hes starting to take good naps during the day

He loves his jumper & can be occupied in it for a good 45 minutes now

Hes done with the Bumbo chair because it constricts him to sit forward & he hates that

He still loves bath time & now insists that i need them too by splashing me

So i got this 10 dollars off everything and anything card in the mail for kohls. I read the fine print & it didnt have any exclusions. So i said, what the heck, lets go. We went. I found these two shirts/onesies for Paxton 4.99 each and said, ok lets try it. So we got to the counter. It came out to 9.98 so i was just waiting to hear her say, oh it was to be 10 dollars or more ya know. So then she grabs my receipt and says thank you for coming in. I said thats it???!!! NO WAY did i just get these for FREE. YUP I SURE DID!! They just got a new customer!!

Thats right. I am now the proud owner of this beauty! And i got it for SUPER cheap. Thank you Smiths Marketplace for having a great sale & for me being inspired THAT day to call & see how much it was! We strapped it to the roof of our car & drove home :) About 20 miles haha.

Decorating Our Christmas Tree

Our dear friend Steven came over last night and helped us decorate our christmas tree. Yes we put up christmas early but we couldnt wait any longer. Texas Roadhouse Dinner!

I took my cousin Nikki's engagement pictures... so she treated us to dinner at Texas Roadhouse!! One of my favorites!! We went yesterday which was the same day we took Paxton to the ER for the flu. I was awake since 5am so it was a LONG day for us. At first we were going to bail because i felt so bad for Paxton & i wasnt feeling too well either. But my aunt insisted we just go & she'll watch him. So we did. It was nice to spend time with our cousins. Not pictures is Nate & Kait. This is also the same night the waitress dropped about 2 full glasses of water onto my Canon Rebel. I WAS PISSED. We talked to the owner & he said he'll take care of it if something did happen to it... it seemed fine other then the water still dropping out of it :( Made me sick to my stomach. Anyways, we let it dry out all of dinner (yes, it happened RIGHT at the beginning) and then we tried it out later to see if it worked. Seems fine. Thank you Nikki & Ivan :)

Paxton At The ER :(

This morning i woke up at about 530am to Paxtons back completely yet. Ok maybe our heater is up to high.. Well, i did our usual routine. I fed him in my bed, burped him, he threw up & he slept in my bed with me. (Marc leaves for work at 5am) Well out of nowhere i wake to hear his tummy making some AWFUL loud noises.. Poor thing must have gas right. Well... then he just starts dry heaving, OH NO! So i sit up, turn on the light, get the burp cloth ready for the show and BAM, he starts choking. I pat his back, and notice yellow BILE oozing out of his mouth & onto the burp cloth. My heart dropped. I was always sick when i was little & i know how horrible throwing up bile is, so i could only imagine what this almost 6 month old baby is feeling. It subsided. We laid back down. Then i woke to him doing it AGAIN. Alright thats it i thought. I called my mom, not realizing it was 530am her time & asked for advice then I called Marc at work & said he needs to come home (he had the car, mustang is broken) i called his drs office but they just got rid of their after hours clinic so then we decided to go to urgent care. We get there and its closed. What kind of urgent care is only open from 9am-9pm??! LAME. So it was about 730am now. His drs opens at 830. i guess we'll just go home and wait. As we were driving back, he did it again, turned bright purple & bile just came oozing out. Marc saw & flipped a u turn & went to the emergency room. Even with Paxton throwing up like this, he was as happy as can be. SO crazy. We get there. They admit him. And then we waited. The dr came in & was a little stand offish, he kept saying Paxton seems fine, hes playing, a little fever but hes very responsive. BUT i had that burp cloth as proof to show them. So he went to get Zophran, nausea medicine & as he walked out, Paxton started doing it again... Marc ran & got him & he came back in & saw for himself. He hurried & got the Zophran & gave him a dose. We waited a bit to see if it helped & it seemed too. Thank heavens. How his whole back got wet, still beats me. Maybe throw up??! It was a pretty rough day more for me then him. He was so happy but just couldnt keep anything down we gave him. So we started giving him pedialyte & that seemed to help. It lasted about 2 weeks. Two days later, Marc & i got it. Its awful trying to take care of a sick baby, husband & yourself. OY VEY.

3rd Time Is A Charm!

The second time we gave Paxton rice cereal, he ate like hes known how to eat from a spoon his whole life. It was So funny. Marc was at work so he didnt get to see it. i tried taking pictures as proof but i just couldnt do it.. So here are pics on day 3 of him eating. Lucky for us, Marc got done early so he could be there to watch! Especially since i kept bragging about how good he did on day 2. He was thrilled just as i was. Paxton did great again! We feed him at 11am with a spoon and for bedtime we give it to him in a bottle.
